- Locate the Ethernet cable packaged with your terminal (a phone cord with larger plugs).
- Plug one end of this cable into the back of the terminal in the port labeled 10BaseT.
- Plug the other end into the back of your router.
- Plug the power cable into the terminal and twist it towards the closed padlock symbol to lock it in place.
- Plug the power cable into a power outlet. Your terminal will turn on.
- After the terminal has finished loading, the options Softpay and Commsrvr will appear.
- Press the button for Commsrvr [F2].
- Press the purple key below the hammer and wrench symbol.
- Press the button next to Repair [F4].
- Wait for the terminal to complete the repair. The message “Connection Repair Successful” should appear.
- Press the [F2] and [F4] keys simultaneously.
- Enter the manager’s password.
- Press the button next to Restart [F4]. This is will reboot the terminal.
- Wait until the Softpay / Commsrvr screen appears and press the button next to Softpay [F3].
- To confirm the terminal is working, you can run a small test transaction with any card type.
- Plug one end of the phone cable that came packaged with your terminal into the back of the terminal in the port labeled with the image of a phone.
- Plug the other end into a phone jack.
NOTE: Terminal should have its own unique phone line, not shared with phones or other devices.
- Plug the power cable into the terminal and twist it towards the closed padlock symbol to lock it in place.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a power outlet. Terminal will power on.
- When the terminal is finished loading, the options Softpay and Commsrvr will appear.
- Press the button next to Softpay [F3].
- To confirm terminal is working, run a small test transaction with any card type.
